Photography studio co-op opens in Northrup King Building

Updated: March 15, 2016 - 11:41 am

Photographer and digital marketer Thomas Unise has opened a cooperative photography studio in the Northrup King Building in Northeast Minneapolis.

Unise founded 612 Photography in March after not finding a small studio that fit his needs, so he thought he’d share a larger one, Unise said. Membership comes with access to the 2,300-square-foot studio, free Internet access, some basic equipment and promotion from Unise himself.

Unise is looking for 5-7 photographers to join 612 Photography. Members are able to book several shooting stations inside the studio online.

Unise said he plans to promote members and the studio using his marketing skills and at events like Art-A-Whirl.

“Not only do you get a studio, you get a marketing firm,” he said.

The studio is now open at 1500 Jackson St. NE in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District.
