Community meeting on updated Nicollet Mall design set for Feb. 10

Project planners working on the Nicollet Mall redesign project are holding a community meeting Wednesday, Feb. 10 at the Central Library to provide an update on design changes and a revised construction timeline. 

A high construction bid for the project has prompted city leaders to drop plans for special pavers for the street and issue a new call for bids for the $50 million project. 

City staff, the Minneapolis Downtown Council and James Corner Field Operations, the designer on the project, will be on hand to provide a project update and answer questions. 

The meeting will be held in Pohlad Hall at the Minneapolis Central Library, 300 Nicollet Mall. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the presentation starts at 7 p.m.
